Food Commissary
Our Food Commissary is anticipated to produce 2,000 culturally appropriate, affordable, and healthy meals daily for the community and affordable housing residents.
Family Council
Family Councils Ontario is a registered charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Family Councils across the province. They offer resources, training, and guidance to help councils operate effectively and make a meaningful impact.
Generations Toronto has a Family Council comprised of family members and friends of the residents of a long-term care home (LTC) who will provide support, and education, and work towards improving the experiences of all people in LTC. Our Family Council will empower the families and friends of residents by providing a space to share experiences, voice concerns, and exchange ideas to improve the LTC experience.
RESIDENTS’ COUNCIL
Generations Ontario will have a Residents’ Council. The Ontario Association of Residents’ Councils (OARC) is a nonprofit organization that advocates for and supports Residents’ Councils in long-term care (LTC) homes across Ontario.
Led by a board of LTC residents, OARC empowers residents to have a voice in decisions affecting their care and daily lives. The organization provides resources, education, and guidance to help establish and sustain effective Residents’ Councils, fostering a sense of community and self-advocacy. OARC ensures that residents are informed, engaged, and able to contribute meaningfully to their LTC environment.
